St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights features millions of tiny white lights that create a magical atmosphere in the Nation’s Oldest City, and it's free of charge.
One of Florida’s most popular holiday events, Nights of Lights in St. Augustine, will begin sparkling a little early this year. Without the usual fanfare and lighting ceremony, the lights will come on from Saturday, November 19, 2022 through Monday, January 31, 2023.

White lights drape the city’s unique Spanish Colonial architecture and glow from the sidewalks to the rooftops, over the Bridge of Lions, along historic buildings, public spaces, hotels, restaurants, and inns throughout approximately 20 blocks of the Nation’s Oldest City’s historic district.
The top two spots to visit for the best views and Nights of Lights selfies are:1. The Plaza de la Constitución Get the perfect holiday selfie in front of the Christmas tree in the center of the plaza. There are also live music performances in the plaza on weekends and throughout the holidays.2. The Bridgeof Lions Walk the bridge to gaze back at the sparkling reflection of the lights along the water.
Parking is at a premium during the peak days of Nights of Lights.Parking in St. Augustine’s historic district can be a challenge during peak visitation times. Here are the top tips for parking near the historic district:Get The Park St Aug App Your best option is to use the ParkStAug app for paid parking. The app is available for free from both Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.For information on how to download and use the Park St Aug app, visit ParkStAug.com.The Park St Aug app allows you to: * pay for parking with your phone * receive alerts before a parking session expires * extend a parking session without ever having to return to your vehicleParking Rates & Hours of Enforcement Parking rates are $2.50 per hour with parking sessions limited to three hours for on-street spaces and four hours in parking lots.Parking will be enforced Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., except on Cathedral Pl. and King St. where enforcement does not begin until 10:00 a.m. and in the parking lot for the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, where parking is enforced on Sundays as well.Please note that some on-street parking and parking lots do not have individual meters but do have pay stations.
